I have over 20 years’ experience working in child, young person and adult wellbeing and safeguarding. I believe in offering a therapeutic experience that is as unique and individualised as each person who walks through my door.
I have completed post qualifying training in working with trauma and neurodivergent affirming practice.
I work therapeutically with children supporting them in understanding and managing their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, incorporating play and creative techniques, allowing them to communicate feelings they may not have the words for yet.
I work with young people as they navigate the emotional, mental, and social challenges they face during the significant transition into adolescence and early adulthood.
I work with adults exploring early childhood attachment and associated anxiety and depression, with the aim of building a trusting environment where self-awareness and an understanding of the causes of concerns can be safely explored.
The therapeutic journey is unique for each person as you navigate the intricacies of your own mental and emotional landscape. The process allows for the gradual construction of a more cohesive and resilient self, moving from confusion and fragmentation to integration and peace.
As part of East Surrey Counselling group, I am available Wednesdays from 3.30pm. Please contact me via Carol Belsey.
